So I decided to drop by Clementine for a sandwich and limeaide today. I usually avoid the westside when I am in LA, but had a hankering for some romesco. I get there around 2 in the afternoon and the line snaked to the door. It took a good 20 minutes after I order before I get my food. The sandwich wasn’t as well put together as it used to be, but it was still tasty.

Could it be that the crowd arrived due to Jonathon Gold’s little write up of 99 Essential LA Restaurants? Or has word finally traveled around, after all these years, that Clementine is one tasty place for lunch.

I should’ve saved room for dessert.
